10 of Birmingham's best rock bands have been chosen from Birminghamusic.com, it's now your turn to decide who will win the once in a lifetime opportunity to support Ocean Colour Scene at their Birmingham Carling Academy gig on December 20th 2005.

Furthermore, YOU and one of your friends* (under 16's must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) could be one of Ocean Colour Scene's guests at this gig just by voting for your favourite band here on the Birmingham Grid For Learning.

Just click on a band to find out more about them and listen to their music, then vote for favourite.

Every day students will vote and the band with the lowest number of votes will be eliminated at 10am every morning.

Voting is open 24 hours, but will be closed during the weekend of Friday 9th December 2005 at 6pm and reopened at 10am on Monday the 12th December 2005.

Because of technical difficulties on Wednesday 7th December 2005 an extra day has been added to the competition, the final day of voting will be on Thursday 15th December 2005 when three bands will be left, the band with the most votes will win. The winner will be announced at 10am on Friday 16th December 2005.

The final vote count is at the discretion of the BGFL and Birminghamusic.com, our decision is final.

*Please note, this prize is restricted to pupils/students currently attending a Birmingham school.
